In line with its 2024 strategic goals, TARKEM started collaborations with individuals and institutions covering its field of work. As a first step in this direction, TARKEM, which is a member of the Impact Investment Advisory Board (EYDK), will begin to work to increase awareness and capacity about impact investment in Izmir and its surroundings, in cooperation with EYDK.
Aiming to create a favorable environment to facilitate the development of impact investments and to establish an ecosystem that encourages sustainable growth in Turkey, EYDK aims to create an innovative, inclusive and impact-oriented economy and measurable social and environmental impact by leading the gathering of ecosystem stakeholders. By revealing Turkey’s potential within the framework of cooperation with national and international stakeholders, it supports our country, which serves as a bridge between the global east and west, to become the entry point to the regional market for impact investment.
TARKEM and Impact Investment Advisory Board (EYDK) organised First ‘Impact Investing Forum’ in Izmir within the concept of “Place-Based Impact Investing” Theme which is a serie focused on impact investing a widespread, sustainable, and inclusive option in Türkiye. Place-Based Impact Investing proposes making strategic investments tailored to the economic, social, and environmental needs of a specific region to promote its sustainable development and TARKEM is a Pioneer for this initiative.
